Privacy policy
Effective 20 October 2026
This policy explains what personal information Nivor ("we", "us") collects, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It covers nivor.technology, our emails and the services we provide. Nivor is operated by Robert Jacobs, a sole proprietor in Frankfort, Kentucky.
Questions or requests: hello@nivor.technology, or Nivor, 1210 Wilkinson Blvd, Frankfort, KY 40601, USA.
What we collect
Information you give us
- Inquiry form: your name, email, product link, phone number (optional), the plan you're interested in, your launch date (optional) and your message.
- Booking a call: the details you enter in our Google Calendar booking page.
- Buying a plan: your name, email, billing details and payment card. Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- Working with us: the product materials, logins, recordings, brand assets and other content you share so we can make your film, and the emails we exchange.
Information collected automatically
- Site analytics: we use Vercel Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without identifying you across sites.
- Server logs: our host, Vercel, records technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to run and secure the site.
Our site doesn't use advertising cookies or tracking pixels, and we don't sell or rent your information.
Information from other sources
For outreach, we use business information that companies publish themselves: company and founder names from public startup directories, and contact addresses from the company's own website. We contact businesses about our services. We don't buy personal email lists or guess addresses.
How we use it
- To reply to your inquiry, send your free sample and schedule calls.
- To make, deliver and revise your films, and to bill you.
- To send business emails about our services, each with a way to opt out.
- To keep records we need for legal, tax and accounting reasons, and to prove consent.
- To keep the site secure and understand, in aggregate, which pages are useful.
We use AI tools to help draft scripts, voices and edits. We don't use your confidential product materials to train any AI model. We only use AI vendors whose terms say they don't train on our inputs, or that let us opt out, and where a vendor offers an opt-out, we use it.
If you're in the EU or UK, our legal bases are: legitimate interests for business outreach and for running and securing the site; contract for making your films and billing you; and legal obligation for tax and accounting records.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the service providers that help us run Nivor, and only what each one needs:
- Vercel (website hosting and analytics)
- Airtable (our lead and client records)
- Telegram (instant alerts to us when you send an inquiry)
- Google (email and calendar booking)
- Stripe (payments)
- AI and production tools such as ElevenLabs (voice), used to make your film
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or safety or anyone else's, or as part of a sale or reorganisation of our business. We'll only feature your film or name you as a client with your permission.
Calls
We don't make sales or marketing calls. The only calls we have are ones you book with us yourself. If that changes, we'll update this policy before any call is made.
Emails
Every marketing email from us says who we are, includes our postal address and lets you opt out. Reply asking us to stop (for example, "no thanks") or email us, and we'll stop, within 10 business days at the latest and usually the same day. We keep your address on a do-not-contact list so we don't email you again by mistake.
How long we keep it
- Inquiries that don't become projects: up to 2 years after our last contact.
- Client and billing records: as long as tax and accounting law requires, usually 7 years.
- Do-not-contact entries: at least 5 years, so we keep honouring opt-outs.
- Your product materials: deleted within 90 days of the end of a project, unless you ask us to keep them.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to tell you what information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it for marketing. Email hello@nivor.technology and we'll reply within 30 days. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we may keep what the law requires (for example, a do-not-contact entry so we never contact you again). Depending on where you live, including California, other US states, the UK and the EU, you may have more rights under local law, and you can complain to your local data-protection authority. We won't treat you differently for using your rights.
Security
We use reputable providers with encryption in transit, keep access to records limited to the people who need it, and keep secret keys out of our code. No system is perfectly secure, so if a breach affecting you ever happens, we'll tell you as the law requires.
International transfers
We're based in the United States, and our providers may process information in the US and other countries. If you contact us from outside the US, your information will be transferred there.
Children
Nivor is a service for businesses. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you think we have, email us and we'll delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll say so on this page before it takes effect.
